Easy to use, and easy to manage bandwidth issues on uploads. I’ve been using Backblaze for some time now, and my experience was mostly positive. It’s Great Unless You Want Your Backup Preserved The sluggish email responses I get from Backblaze suggest I might need to get a PhD in system administration in order to implement a byzantine, time-consuming workaround for their shortcomings.
Update: I am on day 16 of no Backblaze updates. Truly some of rudest, most arrogant and condescending support staff I have ever encountered.

The email responses I have received over the past month could be used in a master class in how to alienate paying customers. Their system has shown the message "Backblaze is undergoing maintenance" for 48 hours now, and I have yet to receive a response to two requests for information about when their system will be up and running again. On a final note, I have been unable to back up any of my files for two days.
In order to remove my card from their account, I have been told in writing that I need to cancel the plan I have paid for. Though I paid for an annual plan in December 2020, the company will not allow me to remove my credit card (which they will try to use to renew my plan in December 2021) from the account. As one example, last month the company signed me up for a second paid plan (without my request or knowledge) even though I only need the one plan I have. I have been emailing back and forth with Backblaze support regarding ongoing serious support issues for more than a month. Steer Clear of Backblaze - Unethical, Unreliable, and Rude Their support team did contact me and offered step-by-step instructions which I carefully followed but the instructions did not work. I was very disappointed in that the first time I actually needed to use BackBlaze Recovery Options their system failed to perform as advertised.

Apparently, downgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 7 does not constitute a "NEW OPERATING SYSTEM". It appears Backblaze's Inherit Backup State cannot inherit a Windows 10 setup to Windows 7, and the inherit process repeatedly failed. It reaches "Inheriting Backup State: Updating Backblaze resources" and stops with the error message, "Please contact Backblaze support with error code: Horse". I contacted Backblaze Support and followed all their instructions but could not inherit the earlier failed drive setup. I had Windows 10 running but with only 8GB RAM new Windows 10 updates made my computer too slow, and I was getting hardware incompatibility reports. Thankfully, I was able to recover all data from it. After using BackBlaze for almost one year my "C" hard drive failed.
